All set for this semester

Last Tuesday was the last day of class for fall semester. I'm truly Thankful! I'm not a morning person and getting up at 6am for class was killing me! I'm about finished with my clinical too. Clinical is an interesting experience. I came home emotionally and physically exhausted from it everyday. And, on the first day of clinical it just had to snow 6in the night before, making my commute an hour instead of 20min. The city called a snow emergency day for the day after and my car nearly got towed. I ran out to my car in the nick of time to stop it from happening. Overall, clinical itself, was okay. I learned that when working in real life, nothing really goes by the book and lab classes. My state exam is this Friday. Wish me luck. :)

Vintage finds

I went thrifting on Veteran Day and I really couldn't believe my luck! Usually I'd find one or two cool things but I find a whole bunch of gorgeous and very unique items! Check them out on my shop!!

Reminiscing

I looked through my portfolio and saw this. It made me sad but happy at the same time. I feel like I have grown so much from since I graduated from art school in 2009. I love illustrating and I always will but I no longer want it as a career. I love helping people and I realized that's what truly makes me happy, hence why, I'm working toward being a crna. But, that doesn't mean that I'll stop painting, doodling, and creating art. :)

Fall in the midwest

Amazingly, it's Nov. and still nice out. So, I decided to donned on my Sunny Sky dress from Airy Dreams; laid a blanket out in the back yard with a sketch book in hand. I gotta take advantage of this weather before it gets cold and I know it coming.
